This Privacy Policy applies to Nested Orbits and our services, including the Kana Pro app and website.
Data We Collect
We may collect account identifiers (for example Firebase user ID and sign-in provider details), app usage and progress data, profile/settings data, purchase and entitlement status, and messages you submit through our contact forms. In the iOS and Android apps only, we may also collect app-scoped device identifiers and basic device and network information for analytics and advertising attribution. We do not collect payment card details through Kana Pro.
How We Use Data
We use data to provide sign-in, sync progress and profiles across devices, process and restore premium purchases, operate customer support, and improve app reliability and security. In the iOS and Android apps, we also use data to measure app usage and understand which of our advertising campaigns lead to app installs and purchases.
Services We Use
We use third-party services such as Firebase (authentication), Cloudflare (backend hosting/storage), Apple/Google store infrastructure (in-app purchases), Stripe (web payments where applicable), Singular (analytics and advertising attribution in the iOS and Android apps only), and Formspree (website contact form delivery). Singular is not used in the Kana Pro web app. These providers process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We disclose data only to service providers needed to deliver app features, payments, support, analytics, and advertising attribution. We do not use Kana Pro data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Advertising Attribution
This section applies only to the Kana Pro iOS and Android apps. The Kana Pro web app does not use Singular and does not collect or send Singular attribution data. Kana Pro does not request App Tracking Transparency permission on iOS and does not use data to track users across apps or websites owned by other companies. In the mobile apps, Singular processes app launches, app-scoped device identifiers, basic device and network information, and reported purchase events on our behalf to provide analytics, fraud prevention, and privacy-preserving campaign measurement.
School Licensing

Retention
We retain account and service data for as long as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
